Finally, I see Spring. The river that flows behind my home started to open today, so in a few weeks I should be able to launch my kayak. This image of a Great Blue Heron was taken from the kayak. Having paddled now for over ten years, I find that this is a great way to access those hard to reach places.

Tremendous photo, Mike. Really terrific! How do you protect your camera equipment in the kayak, in case you overturn? I'm glad to hear the spring is making headway there, at last.
I understand on this particular day there was a moron with you that didn't have his camera.
Ha Ha John! I take it that you know that person very well!!!
Mike, I was going to ask the same question as sandpiper!! I would be so scared of dropping my camera I wouldn't have a good time! Something I would just have to get over though because I really want to get a kayak NOW!!
I saw a Great Blue Heron fly over the other day...maybe he's on his way to your house!!
Beautiful picture.
The photo is lovely; the kayak SCARY!
Lovely picture and reflection in the water!
Beautiful.. Your walls must be covered with these images. What equipment do you use..??
