Photo quote for today: "When your mouth drops open, click the shutter." -Harlod Feinstein
I find the best way to enjoy a Forget-Me-Not is under a macro lens. These flowers are so small it's easy for the passerby to overlook these fragile beauties.
Mike these are stunning pictures.. Now I HAVE to get a macro lens.. the quote is very fitting today.. I too missed yesterdays picture.. beuatiful as always.. two of natures most delicate beauties.. thanks for sharing
Hi Mike! Great works as always! And since you're on of the blogs making my day every morning - you got yourself an award! It wait's for you on my site! Cheers, Klaus
My mouth certainly drops open when YOU click the shutter! I love that quote. I go around with my mouth dropping open all the time, but don't always get the picture :-) Love the first picture with the leaves and the 3 flowers. They look suspended in air...so fragile and beautiful.
How wonderful your quotes are; they give me pause to think and to learn. In my garden, for-get-me-nots, are pretty hard to forget for they are everywhere.
Hi Mike, We sure do miss you...and have "Forgot-You-Not"! Hope you're just taking a blogging break! I imagine you out in the wilds on the kayak having a grand ol time getting lots of wonderful photographs!
Mike, I have been "out of the loop" for a while.. just stopping by to check and see what wonderful creations you have been posting and I see that You too have been gone.. Just hope all is well with you and your family.. Have a beautiful summer and Thanks for sharing what you did..
Lovely shots of the Forget-me-nots - very similar to the ones we have over in England. Have you got a dictionary of photography quotes?? Most interesting and thought provoking!
I'm a Maine native and live in the town of Greene, on the banks of the Androscoggin River. I've been capturing images of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Western U.S, and Europe for over thirty years. Whether hiking, on my skis or snowshoes, or in my kayak, my camera is usually never far away. My basic photography interests are nature and landscape, but will never pass-up an opportunity to photograph whatever catches my eye. I've displayed my work in galleries throughout my home state, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and have had work appear in the pages of publications such as Maine Fish and Wildlife, the calendars of Down East, Maine Geographic, and Maine Scene. I was also selected and showcased in Nature Photographer's Annual Review, titled “In Celebration of the Earth”, a review of both amateur and professional photographers from throughout North America. Like many photographers, I started out with film and have now made the transition to digital. I had my concerns at first, but now that I've become more familiar with the format I really enjoy the flexibility, creativity, and control I have over the final image, and want to share that result with the viewers of this blog.

These are just so beautiful Mike! I didn't comment yesterday on your beautiful Swallowtail. It's been a busy week.

These are both beautiful pictures. The one with them peeking out around the ferns is beautiful and the second one is dreamy.

Exactly how forget-me-nots should look! What gorgeous miniature those would make on the wall!
